There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is able to do all things. Glory be to Allah, and all praise be to Allah; there is no god but Allah; Allah is the Greatest. There is no might and no power except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. My Lord, forgive me! Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day are signs for those of understanding — who remember Allah standing, sitting, and [lying] on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying]: "Our Lord, You did not create this in vain; exalted are You! Protect us, then, from the punishment of the Fire. Our Lord, whoever You admit to the Fire — You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers. Our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying]: ‹Believe in your Lord› — and we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, efface our misdeeds, and take us to death with the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection; truly You do not break Your promise." And their Lord responded to them: "Indeed, I will not let any deed of any doer among you be lost, whether male or female — you are of one another. So those who emigrated, or were driven from their homes, or were harmed in My cause, or fought and were slain — I will surely efface their misdeeds and admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, as a reward from Allah; and with Allah is the best of rewards." Let it not deceive you that those who disbelieve move about freely in the land. [It is] a brief enjoyment, then their refuge is Hell — and how wretched a resting place! But those who feared their Lord — for them are gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they shall abide eternally, as a lodging from Allah; and what is with Allah is best for the righteous. And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are some who believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not exchange the signs of Allah for a small price — for them is their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in reckoning. O you who believe! Be patient, exhort one another to patience, remain steadfast, and fear Allah that you may succeed. (Source: Qur'an 3:190–200)
