Supplication for travel

It is reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out on a journey, after placing his foot in the stirrup, he would say "Allahu akbar" three times and then recite:

"Glory to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we would not have been capable of it; and truly to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You on this journey of ours for righteousness, piety, and deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and fold up its distance. O Allah, You are the Companion in travel and the Successor over the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel, from a sorrowful sight, and from an evil turn in property and family."

[Muslim 1342]
