Allah — there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what lies before them and what is behind them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. He is the Most High, the Magnificent. (Source: Qur'an 2:255; al-Bukhari 2311)

The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, as have the believers. All have believed in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His messengers. [They say]: "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." They say: "We hear and we obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord — and to You is the return." Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. It has what it has earned, and against it what it has earned. "Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or err. Our Lord, do not lay upon us a burden like that You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with that which we have no strength to bear. And pardon us; forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelieving people." (Source: Qur'an 2:285–286; Muslim 1878)

O Allah, You are the First, and there is nothing before You; You are the Last, and there is nothing after You; You are the Most High, and there is nothing above You; You are the Most Near, and there is nothing beyond You — discharge our debt for us, and spare us from poverty. Aisha رضي الله عنها reported that every night, before lying down, the Prophet ﷺ would cup his hands together, blow softly into them, recite suras al-Ikhlas (112), al-Falaq (113), and an-Nas (114), and then wipe his hands over his body, starting with the head, face, and front of the body — repeating this three times [al-Bukhari 5017].
