Ruqyah: protection and healing by the Quran

Duas and verses for protection: Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas, Ayat al-Kursi, the supplications that drive away Satan, protection for children, and the words said when facing an enemy — with Arabic text, translation, and source.

In the Sunnah, refuge is sought not in an amulet or an incantation but in Allah — with words He Himself sent down and which the Prophet ﷺ taught.

The last two surahs of the Quran — Al-Falaq and An-Nas — are called the muawwidhat, "those that give refuge". The first names outright the evil of an envier when he envies (113:5); this is the Book's answer to whoever seeks protection from envy and the evil eye. The Prophet ﷺ recited them before sleep, breathed into his palms, and wiped them over his body.

Gathered here as well are the supplications that drive away Satan and his whisperings — among them Ayat al-Kursi, of which it is said that its reciter is guarded until morning — protection from whisperings during prayer and the recitation of the Quran, words for the protection of children, protection from the False Messiah (the Dajjal), and the supplication said when facing an unjust ruler or an enemy.

Each supplication comes with the Arabic text, a word-by-word translation, and a reference to its source. Nothing here goes back to anything but the Quran or authentic Sunnah — which is precisely what sets this page apart from what is usually offered for such searches.
